AWOL

I know, my blogging lately has been spotty at best. Let me 'splain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up:

I have been up to my eyeballs in work around here. Legal work always ebbs and flows and this past month has been a difficult one. My dear friend who helps me with the boys when I go into the office is expecting a little boy of her own, and was put on bed rest this month after a few early labor scares. Fortunately, baby and mama are doing well and waiting it out until birth. However, I've had to scramble to try and arrange childcare and it has been stressful. I still don't quite have it figured out!

I've worked well over my billable goal this month and I'm a little burnt out. Thankfully, the weekend is here. I'm filing a patent in about a half hour and then I'm free. For a while, anyway!

We spent the weekend in Tennessee over Memorial Day, so hopefully I'll have some pictures to share of our adventures. We celebrated birthdays, played in the pool, visited a kids' museum, and enjoyed spending time with Nana and Papa Kay and Kyle and Anne and their munchkins. It was a full house, but a fun one! And loud, too.

I completed my "30 Day Shred" workout and have the abs to show for it, if nothing else! No, I will not be posting before and after shots. You'll just have to take my word for it.

Mason finished preschool for the year and we attended his end of year program. So cute! His class sang a song with a title like "I am a miracle" - it was precious. The boys ate a lot of pizza and cake and generally enjoyed the day.

Brandon's been very busy with biking and scouting. I love to see him out doing something athletic that he enjoys. His big "Tour de Cure" is tomorrow, so wish him luck. In his spare time, he attended an overnight scout leader training camp out. I think those young men are lucky to have him as a leader.

I colored my hair for the first time. There's a story to it, which I'll save for another day! I like it, though. It's a change I can believe in. :-)

Anyway, look for photos of these and other events in future posts. For now, know that I'm here, I'm alive, and I'm looking forward to an easier pace in June.

I'm so impressed, way to stick with it, and I'm jealous that you have great abs! I need to get her video I think! I don't know how you do it all, you are amazing! You boys are very blessed!

You've been a more diligent blogger than I have and I don't have half as much going on. Don't be too hard on yourself. I really don't know how you do it all!
