Backing up a bit

I'm so far behind, I'm just now sharing pictures from Mother's Day!

Mason's preschool class hosted a lovely Mother's Day tea for all the mommies (and at least one grandma). The teachers had prepared a lovely tea party for us.

We were told to stay in our seats, that our little ones would get a plate for us and serve us. What a treat! Here's Mason, filling my plate for me with his teacher, Mrs. Lamb:

After we had lunch, we played a little bit. Mason showed me a game he likes to play, with dice and game pieces. He always picks the red ones first. It is definitely his favorite color.

He wasn't very smiley for this picture:

But he perked up a bit when we took this one ourselves:

Mason has had a great year in preschool. His teachers really cared about him and appreciated him and it showed. One of the things I love about this preschool is that the teachers and administrators truly love the kids. They are in it for them, and their love shines through in everything they do. I'm glad he's learning to be creative and write and get along with others and all those things, too, but it just makes me feel happy to know that when he goes to preschool, his teachers care about him.
