8 days

We are down to single digits. Every day, we update our chalk board countdown to Baby Girl. The boys are so excited and keep saying they can't wait for her to get here. They have plans to hold her and give her hugs and kisses and make her smile. It is really so sweet. I am so glad they are excited and looking forward to their baby sister. They are both very gentle with little babies, it will be fun to see them with her.

I feel like I have a million and one things to do, and I'm not getting anywhere! I am still working through the end of this week and have so much left to finish, it's exhausting and frustrating. My house doesn't feel "clean enough" and the baby's room isn't completely together yet. I still have my bag to pack and a few last minute things to cross off my list. I should lay in some more groceries. I'm lost under a pile of laundry. My 6 year old has been very emotional and prone to tantrum outbursts these last few weeks, and I have been struggling with helping him manage his feelings (he's wearing us both out). I've been a terrible visiting teacher. I feel disorganized and a bit overwhelmed. And at the same time, I seem to have ADD - when I start a project, I can't seem to focus to the end. Sigh.

I'm just hoping our little miss remains content in there until the scheduled c-section - I have a lot to do in the next 8 days!

I'll keep that in mind! I must say, Jan, your story has put the fear in me. I'm so afraid I'll go into labor before the appointed day and nothing will be ready!!!

Hope all is well with your new little one. Hugs!
