Our big first grader!

 It's hard to believe, but Mason is a big time first grader now!

School started at the end of August.  Mason has always liked school, so he was ready for this new adventure.  Here he is, ready to go!

Mason is in the Kitten class this year.  He actually has two teachers, and he switches back and forth between their classrooms during the day.  Sometimes, they open the divider between the rooms and have activities together.

It's been such an adjustment packing his lunch and having him gone the whole day.  It is strange to think that he spends most of his waking hours outside my influence!  Still, I'm proud of the sweet, conscientious little boy he is.  He is creative and bright - I can almost see the wheels turning in his head when he has an idea.  It's really fun to watch.

Just like last year, he climbed on the bus and wouldn't have looked back, except his bus driver suggested it!

And off he went.  My big first grader!
