I made:

This wreath:

 And this sandwich:

First, the wreath.  My dear friend Corrie is a craft wiz (I am not).  She posted a little tutorial on facebook on how to make these cute wreaths, and I thought I could manage it.  So, General Conference weekend, I bought the supplies and set about making my own!  It involved a straw wreath covered in ribbon, about 10 rolls of decorative ribbon, and a zillion pins.  I cut the ribbon in 4-6 inch pieces, made loops, and pinned them in place.  Over and over and over again.  My thumbs were quite sore by the end of this process!  But I love my wreath and just thought I'd show it off.  Ta-da!  I'm crafty!  For a day, anyway.

Now, the sandwich.  Brandon and I discovered we could re-purpose our ancient George Foreman Grill to make panini-like creations!  Our favorite: turkey, provolone, garden tomatoes (so delicious!), a smidge of mayo, and wheat bread lightly brushed with olive oil.  I'm telling you, these were TASTY.  And I do believe the George Foreman Grill enjoyed its summer Renaissance.  Welcome back, neglected kitchen appliance!

I was kicking myself for giving away my old George Foreman after LaNeal made a panini that way. So yummy. Small Chicago digs forced me to streamline. Wreath is adorable!
