Seven

My boy is seven.  How can that be?!?

Mason turned seven on October 5th.  His birthday fell on a Wednesday, so to celebrate the day we let him choose where he wanted to go out to eat.  He picked LaRosa's - always a family favorite.  We came home from dinner and had cupcakes and opened presents.  It was hard for Mason to wait the entire day to open  his gifts, but he survived!

The theme this year was definitely LEGOS.  Mason loves Legos of all types, and he was certainly indulged this year!  He truly amazes us with his ability to put together complicated Lego sets intended for kids much older than him.  His nana gave him this Lego Hero Factory set aimed at 10-16 year old kids, and he worked with incredible focus until he had the entire thing put together, all by himself.  Future engineer?  Maybe.  But if you ask him right now what he wants to be when he grows up, he'll tell you "Lego Store Worker"!

Mason, you are so bright and funny and thoughtful.  We love your take on life and your determination.  You are such a loving big brother to Danny and Holland and a blessing in our family.  Happy birthday, my sweet boy!
